MEET THE DESIGNER
Our founder Cindy Castro is a proud Latina fashion designer in New York. An immigrant from Ecuador who pursued her dream and after receiving her BFA from Columbia College moved to NYC. With 10 years of industry experience and after working with brands such as Coach, Parker New York, KaufmanFranco and Derek Lam, she decided to create her own women’s RTW line focused on sustainability, social responsibility and remarkable craftsmanship. Her mission is to disrupt the industry and be one of the first Latinas leading sustainable fashion.
After witnessing how much waste was created and the deep social and environmental problems that the industry is involved in, she knew in her heart that she wanted to create change. The brand is committed to sustainability and transparency from development to production. Working with eco-friendly fabrics, certified mills and dyes, sample rooms that believe in fair pay and a slow fashion mindset that contributes to local and safe jobs.
The collections are a celebration of Cindy’s journey. From her nostalgia of growing up in a small and green town in Quevedo, Ecuador to her life abroad, her travels, the people she’s met all around the world of her current home, New York City.
She’s part rebel, part romantic.
In 2020 she founded the brand and in 2022 she opened her own atelier in the Garment District where half of her clothing is currently made. Come visit us if you’re in NYC.
